Viteo Garden Shower

The Viteo Garden Shower begins a gentle, meter high shower as soon as you step on its white platform a little over four inches high. What's interesting about it is that instead of water coming down on top of you; it springs up from below, fountain style. Honored with the iF Product Design Award 2007, the white platform is made from a stainless steel frame base, sturdy UV-resistant ABS plastic white skin and slip-resistant tread. Sandwiched in between are springs which take a light load of about 33 pounds in order to activate the valve which causes water to spray from an inner channel system to 16 fine cone shaped jets. The result is a gentle cone of water from 2 to 4 meters (6ft to 13ft). And while the gushing flow of cold water from your tap may prove rather startling, not nearly as so as the cool $930US price tag. (Link | Via)

2 awesome amazing freebies came in the mail for me today! I luv freebies!

- 1st freebie was from Milani Cosmetics -

I am quite sure they are over now, but I was just excited and thought I would share! Milani's FaceBook sent me a full-size lipstick. Albeit not my color at all, it was still nice! Some promotion I found on Twisted Branches Forum (where I find EVERYTHING!), I presume! So I thought I'd give them a shout-back of a free-post since they were so nice to gift it to me!

They sent me color # 112, which is a bright 80s hot pink. Maybe good for Halloween? I could NOT pull off this color. Nor do I know anyone that can, or why even since were on the subject, do they even still make this color? I might give it to GiGi! It says it is "HD Advanced Lip Color and that it is Sheer-medium coverage, with 3 finishes- Cream, Pearl, & Shimmer. It says they all have Watermelon Fragrance. 9Neat!) It does smell pretty good! and it also has a Serum Infused formula. Paraben Free. 3-in- 1 lip color!
Also they are having a contest on their Facebook wall (^Link above^ ) for a chance to win a Flip video Ultra HD 4gb video recorder.

I would recommend connecting on FB for sure, in case they have another great freebie, so you might see it in your sea of a wall of status updates also known as your News Feed! :)
I only wish they would have sent a different color, perhaps the Romantic Rose, or Classy Nude.

Freebies are great for everyone involved. Gives the company amazing advertising! It saves the consumer money, and lets them "try before they buy" and also stays in their mind when they are shopping. I know there have been numerous times (too many to count) where I have been shopping and remembered an amazing freebie. For instance, say I am shopping for a skin cleanser, I might grab the Biore, just because they were nice enough to give me an amazing 100% free coupon last year. Or grab the Pantene bc they sent me travel size samples. It angers me to see companies pulling samples. I have gotten emails before about samples I have signed up for, that I won't be recieving. I understand they run out of budget and that is OK, but they slam, "Freebie Sites".... mad because they got posted on a freebie site. Really? What did you think was going to happen. You should be glad at the free advertising. I'm sure it would cost just as much to put billboard ads up, as it does to send out samples. And how does a WOM (word-of-mouth) work exactly with a billboard. have you ever just said, "Hey! I SAW THIS GREAT SIGN ON THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE TODAY?" (ok, you might have but it wouldnt be with the repetitive or sincerity that comes with a sample/freebie WOM convo.! I tell all my girlfriends about the great freebies! See what I am doing right now? Telling you about these great freebies. ~Never underestimate the power of WOM from a freebie!~

Delphine Arnault, girl of French businessman Bernard Arnault, wedded Alessandro Vallarino Gancia, the Gancia wine dynasty, in 2005 on the Cote d’Azur, France. This case is said to have toll more than $ 7 million. Her dress was not bought on the grill at David’s Bridal – was made by famous fashion designer John Galliano. Growing jewellery

A jewellery designer has come up with the ultimate 'green' collection - rings with live plants growing inside them instead of precious stones.

Featuring tiny Icelandic moss plants sprouting in their stainless steel bases, the pieces are said to be a 'clash of jewellery and gardening'.They need watering like any other plant and if looked after, designer Hafsteinn Juliusson claims they can last up to six months.

But they don't need to be pruned because, according to Mr Juliusson, the moss grows 'so slowly that you cant even see it. "The owner must water it regularly and nurture it like any other plant. It's up to them to make sure that the jewellery is at it's best.""The collection is designed for people in metropolitan cities and is an experiment in drawing nature toward man, as nature being the presupposition of life."The rings in the striking collection are available to buy with the moss already growing inside. Mr Juliusson, from Reykjavik, Iceland, says each ring will to cost around 485 pounds.

Cassette Tape Art

Independent artist, Erika Iris Simmons, from Princeton turn random things into composite art. Usually she makes portraits of people associated with the item she choose – without adding any paint or pigments.She made a series of cassette tape art named “The Ghost in the Machine”. She said that the tape ribbon represents our thoughts, the data within. Taking that data – those bits of memory – and rearranging them to form what we see as a face is my way of finding a “ghost in the machine.”

Bizarre X-Rays

An X-ray showing a 6-1/2-inch pair of surgical scissors in the abdomen of 69-year-old Pat Skinner in Sydney, Australia in 2004. Skinner had an operation in May 2001, but continued to suffer intense pain and it was only when she insisted on an x-ray 18 months later that she discovered the scissors inside. (Link)
