To private school, or not to private school.

Tis the question.
I am so confused on this whole school thing. There are so many better things that could be done with the  money. Its so far, it would be over 100 miles a day to send her there. That's crazy! There. Back. There. Back. Every day. With a fussy one year old in tow, who despises cars- might I add. Starting to re-think it. Then, the school said the financial aid is usually only up to 600. I know 600 is a LOT of money, BUT when you are talking about the 3 grand in gas it will cost to drive there (the school year) , and the fact that even minus the gas, it would not be 10% off. SOME schools offer as much as 50% with financial aid. Granted.. its a smaller school. But I still can't help but feel like 8% discount is a joke.
Then, there's the only private school near me, is a christian school. There is nothing wrong with that, except from what I heard its nothing more than a fancy away from home "home-school". They just hand them booklets. The teachers don't even have teaching degrees! It is close. Super close. But I am not sure they even have field trips. Its REALLY run down looking. Near a bad area too (sort-of). They do not even provide lunches short of microwavable meals.
The Montessori school does seem like the best option. Maybe if I got 20% off it would help deflect the cost of gas to drive to and fro. Its not just the profound cost. Its also the distance. The two together seem daunting..
Please do not tell me to home-school her myself. This is bad for us for many reasons. 10 of which include the fact that I am super impatient. the other 10 include the fact that not only do I want her to have the socialization... she needs it.
So what to do. Send her to the run down christian school down the road which costs half of the Montessori School? Or drive 110 miles a day to see to it she has a good education, and go broke doing so?
Take it up the butt and deal with a crappy public school?
What's wrong with the public school here? How long do you have? LOL.
Its just not for us.
I am sure I will make the right decision. I just haven't yet. They all have their different pros and cons. I am just weighing them. Waiting for the answer to slap me in the face.
