Smiley Cookies Halloween review

http://www.smileycookie.com/halloween-smiley-cookies-dozen.html

Mini Cookies $13.99
Original Smiley Cookies (large) $13.99
https://www.facebook.com/smileycookiestore

SmileyCookie(.com) sent me this lovely pack of Halloween cookies I just HAD to share with you!

Now, I am not a mind reader and have never assumed to be one. But I have an idea what you might be thinking. If you are anything like me, and you have kids, and take your kids to the grocery store with you.. then there is a good chance your kids have begged for the decorative cookies at the store. Then, will not eat it! What are those things for? decoration? they are most definitely not edible. But these cookies are. I was quite surprised when I bit into one and it tasted amazing! To boot, it's also really really cute, and guaranteed to put a smile on the lucky recipients face!

Check out the Halloween Gift Basket 's.

WARNING! The only drawback I found to these cookies is you cannot sneak one. Not that i would. Laughing.* No actually, I didn't sneak them at all... I am saying if you were to try to. This container is very very noisy. I found this out because Devonny was asleep, and I was attempting to quietly open the package. it is just not possible. This could be construed as a good or a bad thing.

The best part!
Besides the cookies tasting excellent, I was most impressed with the packaging, and I took many pictures of it for you. I know that the box alone would cheer someone up in a second. How could it not? if I was sick or having a rough time for whatever reason, and someone sent these cookies to me, I just know it would brighten up my day! Another plus about the box is it can be re-purposed for many things.

I LOVE candy corn!

The kids loved the cookies, and they were gone within two days! I couldn't tell them no, mostly because Gigi is a sneaky little one. She waits until I go outside to water the garden to get in them! Smart little cookie, pardon my pun!
Also, they would like for you to offer a link to our Facebook page: (BELOW)  If you like them on Facebook you will receive a 20% off Coupon good on the Halloween Cookies

This Plasma Car is like magic (giveaway!) 11/13

http://plasmacar.com/

This neat little scooter is the brand new IT toy.  I was curious to see how this works and slightly skeptical. See, it requires no pushing or batteries and runs on its on by turning the wheel it propels itself forward. TYou are supposed to lean forward and thats it, you just go. yes on flat ground. Strange, huh? So I got it going outside... worked. Figured with this tile with this deep grooves by my grout it wouldn't work. Nope. I was wrong, it works like a charm! I can turn this thing on a dime. I weigh 140 lbs and it supports up to 200! I didn't even really have to lean forward. Giana had a little trouble with it at first but now she goes and goes and goes. My little girls neighbor friend comes over and immediately jumps on it and rides it. I even got Devonny on it and she can make it go. She is only 1 and a half. She cannot make it steer but she can run it into a wall and figured out that shaking the wheel makes it go! Wow! Granted, this toy is only for children 3 and up, but I just wanted to see if she could.. and well, she can! I even have a hard time not getting on it and riding it around the house. Devonny finds this quite amusing (as do my friends and neighbors) to say the least!

It has five wheels; two larger back wheels and three smaller front wheels. One that barely ever touches the ground is it's magic wheel. You can see it in the pictures below.
It's so funny how I never notice a product until I get it for a blog review. It happened again! This time I saw three of them at our local inflatable bounce house. Unfortunately one of them was in pretty bad shape, but it's not hard to figure out why!

The PlasmaCar is a plastic ride-on toy car designed for children, made popular by Canadian toy distributor PlaSmart. The PlasmaCar can be propelled by wiggling the front steering wheel which is attached to two pivoting wheels touching the ground. It harnesses the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, and friction in order to drive the car forward and backward. It does not require a power source such as batteries, fuel, pedals, or gears - it simply runs on the child's ability to wiggle the steering wheel. It can be operated indoors and/or outdoors, though it works best on a smooth, flat surface.

Putting it together was quite easy, even though Noah was deployed I didn't have too much trouble with the instructions. The only thing that confused me was that the brand claims it's good for exercise. I don't see how you get a ton of exercise from it, since you are really only moving your arms, but I am no fitness expert. The cutest thing I thought was (besides the fact that the kids love it) was the little footprints design where you place your feet. it's the little details that set this car apart form others. I think this is the neatest thing, and I am so glad I got the opportunity to test it out! Thanks for sending it to us PlasmaCar!

Colors it's currently available in?
Pink
Yellow
Purple
Blue
Red

My favorite was the yellow, but we were sent the red which is just as cute. Giana- I know without even asking, would have wanted the pink.

Extensively tested meets all safety standards!
The PlasmaCar can handle a load of 100 kg (220 lbs) on a smooth, flat surface, and 55 kg (120 lbs) on a rough, flat surface. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON HARDWOOD FLOORS OR LAMINATE FLOORING.

Buy It: The PlasmaCar sells for $69.95 at a variety of toy stores, to find a store near you please visit the PlasmaCar Store Locator

Be sure to check out my Lite Sprites giveaway too! ARV $40! Ending 2 days after this giveaway and only has 4 entries so far!

Birthday Cake Milkshake Martini Recipe

Birthday Cake Milkshake Martini Recipe

By claire Spotted by caseycolette on ChickADVISOR
Thursday October 13, 2011 by Claire

Now you can have your cake and drink it too.

I came across this recipe for a Birthday Cake-flavoured vodka milkshake.  At first I cringed at the thought of vodka and milk together - would that even work?

But then my love of kitchy cocktails and cake batter finally won me over.  Ever the helpful Chick I strive to be, I thought I'd take one for the team and test drive this bad boy.  Ah, the sacrifices I have to make for this job...

Ingredients

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Whipped Cream
  • Milk
  • Sprinkles
  • Cake Vodka (if you can't find this at your liquor mart, try vanilla vodka or one of the cream-based liqueurs like Irish Cream or Frangelico.  Keep in mind that this may make your milkshake a darker colour)

Step 1: Add your ingredients into a blending cup (I used the Magic Bullet because it's easiest for single servings, but any blender will do).  For one serving, I used 3 medium scoops of ice cream and a few splashes of milk, but you can vary this according to the thickness you prefer.

Step 2: Add 1 ounce (30 mL) of vodka/liqueur per serving.  The cake vodka is very smooth and tastes similar enough to the vanilla ice cream, so for a bigger jolt of flavour I suggest an additional half-ounce.  Blend until smooth (a few seconds).

Step 3: Pour mixture into martini glass (or small wine goblet as pictured here).  Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.  And since it's a birthday cake milkshake after all, pop a candle in for good measure.  If your whipping cream is firm enough, it will easily bear the weight.

Alternatively, you could rim the glass with sprinkles (but frankly I didn't have the skills to pull that off... or was that a result of the taste testing along the way?  I'll never tell).

This milkshake goes down easy like a Sunday morning, so buyer beware - you'll probably need to make yourself a second glass, just for Quality Control testing purposes.

Other Options:

Now that you have this big bottle of cake-flavoured vodka, you may wonder what you'll pair it with next.  Again, being a very helpful person, I spent much of the weekend testing out a few options for you:

Diet Cake = Coke Zero spiked with Cake Vodka

Screwdriver = Orange Juice spiked with Cake Vodka

Cake Nip = Cake Vodka shot served in a fancy schmancy schnapps glass

I also have it on good authority that this vodka is delicious in baked goods.  How do you take your Cake?

My opinion
Well, where to start? How about with the phenomenal selection? Cafe Press has 250+ products that have billions of images and designers using them. That can be a teeny bit overwhelming. For instance my search for sock monkey pulled up so many listings, I didn't have time to browse them all!

I was really pleased with most of my stuff. Except the Sock Monkey Submarine decal, the print on it was  sub par.. very blurry and foggy and not "crisp". I also had the same issue with my panty.
However- my favorite item that shipped was the sock monkey framed tile. It looks so cute in my bathroom, and I have had several nice comments about "Where did I get it?" & "It is so cute!".

Gourmet FairyTale Brownies Giveaway & review! 11/5 ***CLOSED!!!***

***CLOSED!!!***

FairyTale Brownies come in three different sizes: Brownie, which is the largest. Sprite- which is medium sized, and Magic Morsel which is bite-sized. The winner is so lucky, because they will receive the largest brownies. The brownies come shipped on ice, and are so soft they require refrigeration. The taste great warm too!

This gift contains:

  • 1 Caramel Brownie

  • 1 Chocolate Chip Brownie

  • 1 Mint Chocolate Brownie

  • 1 Original Brownie

  • 1 Peanut Butter Brownie

  • 1 Pecan Brownie

    • 1 Raspberry Swirl Brownie
    • 1 Toffee Crunch Brownie
    • 1 Walnut Brownie
    • 1 White Chocolate Brownie
    • 1 Espresso Nib Brownie
    • 1 Cream Cheese Brownie

Here's what we thought:
Original Brownie:
We liked it, but we love a brownie full of candy and other sweet stuff too! The original was soft and scrumptious, but in the end, not our favorite- but not bad either!

Peanut Butter Brownie:
Loved this brownie. Peanut Butter tastes good in just about anything, and this peanut butter brownie sets the bar high for other peanut butter brownies. yum!

 Pecan Brownie:
Nut brownies to me, rank some of the best brownies you will ever eat,. I loved this brownie it was super moist and I love the crunchy little pecans as it was just the right balance.

Cream Cheese Brownie:
This ranked #3 on my top three favorites of the Fairy Tale Fall Dozen!

Espresso Nib Brownie:
I am sad to say this brownie ranked the very bottom of my must have Fairytale brownies list. I love coffee, but this brownie; in my opinion, was slightly odd.

White Chocolate Brownie:
My number two favorite brownie. I am a sucker for white chocolate.

Walnut Brownie:
Yum, Yum, Yum! See above about nut brownies. You just can't go wrong here.

Toffee Crunch Brownie:
My number one favorite brownie. If I were to order a box of brownies in solely one flavor from them, I would order this one! (And recommend you do too!) This brownie had thick bars of toffee laid across the top. It was so good, and I could have eaten a bunch of them.

 Raspberry Swirl Brownie:
I have never even dreamed this was possible I thought the chocolate and raspberry paired very nicely. Surprisingly good and different.

Caramel Brownie:
Gigi ate this brownie and loved it. It was the prettiest brownie in the box, with caramel drizzled all over it. She ate in record time, and was sad there wasn't another!

Chocolate Chip Brownie:
Noah ate this brownie. he is super picky and usually only likes his brownies plain. I talked him into eating it, and guess what? He liked it!

Mint Chocolate Brownie:
Another brownie that I didn't much care for.. but it was good in it's own right, just not what I was expecting. But that doesn't mean you wouldn't enjoy it immensely!

Tiny Prints

Another Tiny Prints review for me? Yes please!
Tiny prints is a site that sells cards and paper goods for all occasions. I am announcing to you tonight that the 2011 Holiday Card  line has already launched!
I have ordered from them before with my last review for them about going back to school!
You have to be careful with Tiny Prints, because I figured out where they get their name from. I pay no attention to sizes when I order, so I ordered these SUPER CUTE Hello Kitty Halloween cards, for Giana to share with her schoolmates this year! I got them and they are super tiny. Like credit card sized. They are still cute and we love them... but lesson learned here? Read the sizes before you order.
:)
So apparently the name Tiny Prints definitely rings true for some of their cards!
Their cards are high quality- beautifully finished and shipped rather quickly. If you are wanting unique and affordable Holiday Cards this year.. then look no further!

As compensation for this post I get to pick 50 of my own free Tiny Prints cards to give to our friends and family this Christmas!
Thanks Tiny Prints!
Here are the cards we did NOT pick.. but came mighty close to + links for them.
Popup holiday cards - Secret Parcel

Ornament cards - Merry Love

Dora the Explorer - Wrapping Party

Aren't they cute? I like how you can color on the Dora Card (directly above). I ultimately decided to not buy those, because Giana has "outgrown" baby shows like that (*Ahem* she says anyway..) this year. Not only that- but not everyone we send to has a child to color it.

I started to get the ornaments (middle), but I will be so busy with the kids by myself and the presents and all that other stuff this year that the thought of tying 50 ribbons on those cards in addition to signing them. Well - it seems a little overwhelming. Ok, I might be a tad bit lazy I get it- but having the kids husband-less for the holidays is a task/chore enough!

The pop-up card (top) is adorable. However- I do not have a recent Christmas picture of them currently to put on it,  and I really just do not want to wait to order them or even really need a photo card this year!

So without further ado- the card we chose is:
The North Pole
It's super festive and we really like it!
Which card do you like best? Check out all their new  Holiday Card 's like the ones I just chose from!
